When the Housing Crisis Resolution goes to City Council what should you do?

Tuesday March 26 – 5:30 pm

Tuesday April 2 – 5:30 pm

City Hall Room 219, 113 W. Mountain St., Fayetteville

The struggle for good housing policy in Fayetteville goes on. The Housing Crisis Resolution goes before City Council these nights. At the agenda session there is no need to take action, but observers are hugely important to emphasize that people care and are watching closely.

At the city council meeting there will be need for people to take one of two roles:

First, you may choose to quietly be present and supportive as the resolution is presented and discussed. This is a very very important role.

Second, you may wish to speak your mind by giving testimony to the Council on the situation. You can speak for 3-5 minutes (depending on how many people are there) on how you’d like to see it addressed to truly make things work for people and community. You could say something as simple as “I support this resolution.” Also an important way to show up.
