Open Mic

Open Mic April CANCELED ‘CAUSE OF ECLIPSE !

After much discussion, we have decided to cancel OMNI Open Mic for April 7th. The Eclipse, the next day, is looming large, and it seems most everyone has a plan that conflicts with that Sunday, including us!  We will resume in May on the first Sunday as usual.   By the way, Donna and I will be performing a whole set of peace songs this coming Saturday March 30th, at the Omni Center to raise funds for Gaza relief. Doors open at 6:30. Concert at 7:00.   Kelly Mulhollan

Open Mic Sunday!

This Sunday Feb 5 – 7:00 pm – Omni Center Join your friends for Open Mic this Sunday! It’s always a thrill. Bring your songs about peace, justice and the Earth… or just come to listen. It’s amazing!

May Open Mic for Peace

Sunday May 7 – 7:00 pm – Omni Center Final Open Mic for this season! Greetings Open Mic Folks, Don’t miss the last Open Mic for the season. Next one will be in September and that’s a long way away!  If the weather’s nice we’ll hold it outdoors on the patio. It’s just beautiful with bird song as the background music. If you haven’t been to the Omni Center in a spell…come check out the beautiful NEW look and internal paint job…WOW, impressive. Remember, we take the summer break from Open Mic from June-Aug. and start back in September.

April Open Mic for Peace

Sunday April 2 – 7:00 pm – Omni Center Spring Open Mic may be on the patio this month…. if weather permits. It’s just so pleasant when it’s pleasant out there. The birds can sing along with the musicians and it’ll be lovely!

Open Mic for Peace

Sun March 4 – 7:00 pm – Omni Center Welcome spring with our great local musicians! Always fun. Always beautiful. For many Open Mic is like a sweet spiritual experience. Thank you to Kelly and Donna Mulhollan for creating this warm and open space for creative musicians and poets to try out their work. Bring your instrument or whatever and share. Or just join those of us who listen and enjoy.

Open Mic for February is different

Open Mic February Sunday Feb 5 – 7:00 pm – Omni Maybe this is a covid thing. February is usually a Black History Month, or a Valentine Hearts thing. This year the idea that comes to the mind of Donna Mulhollan (that major source of cultural inspiration around here) is about death, or “crossing over”. There’ve been several of those in Omni already this year I sorry to say. In the wake of covid we need some new thinking about that, and art, music and culture have things to say that can nurture new understanding and deeper care about such […]
