Organize an Event for Daniel Ellsberg Week, June 10-16, 2024

United for Peace and Justice (3-30-24).  [Ellsberg is our greatest anti-nuclear war whistleblower.  –D] Last year, the Defuse Nuclear War coalition celebrated the first Daniel Ellsberg Week. Seeking “to honor peacemaking and whistleblowing,” the cities of Albuquerque, NM, San Francisco and Berkeley, CA issued proclamations designating April 24-30 as Daniel Ellsberg Week. Open Mic April CANCELED ‘CAUSE OF ECLIPSE !

After much discussion, we have decided to cancel OMNI Open Mic for April 7th. The Eclipse, the next day, is looming large, and it seems most everyone has a plan that conflicts with that Sunday, including us!  We will resume in May on the first Sunday as usual.   By the way, Donna and I will be performing a whole set of peace songs this coming Saturday March 30th, at the Omni Center to raise funds for Gaza relief. Doors open at 6:30. Concert at 7:00.   Kelly Mulhollan

After the scheduled housing crisis workshop City Council held on March 26 Dear Housing Action Community, Billy with ARU here, and I wanted to give you all an update following last night’s workshop that the city council held to look over a new combined housing resolution that includes much of what our resolution called for as well as parts from Councilmember Wiederkehr’s resolution.
