Local Fayetteville Quaker Meeting is coordinating a weekly protest in deep frustration that the needs of people – especially these children – are being cruelly manipulated for political points. This protest will continue at Friday noon for an indefinite period.

Now Pres Trump declares that he will not separate children from parents. However his policies don’t protect children or facilitate more humane immigration procedures… they only allow him to jail children with their parents indefinitely. This is still not ok. We must continue to resist until human rights and human needs take rightful place in the center of our nations values, and there are clear, fair, and practical plans for immigrants and refugees to find the help they need.
Today the US House will vote on two bad immigration bills that need to be rejected. Please call Cong. Steve Womack (202-225-4301) and tell him to vote NO on the Goodlatte and Ryan immigration bills. His staffers know just which ones you’re talking about.
