Save Democracy with a Stamp

Postcards to Swing States: A Progressive Turnout Project Initiative Save Democracy with a Stamp
“Postcards to Swing States” formed when studies showed that a personal postcard, even from an unknown person, had a significant impact on voter turnout. The project had important results in the past two elections. The upcoming primary election is EVERY BIT AS IMPORTANT. It’s also well-known that when voter turnout is good, progressives tend to win. If voter turnout is low this primary, it will have potentially catastrophic effects on democracy.
Arkansas is not a big swing state of course, but we can make a difference by helping get these postcards into the hands of voters in swing states. Here’s a message from Postcards to Swing States inviting us to help out.
From Postcards to Swing States: We need your help to write 550,000 postcards to rally Democrats to vote in the Pennsylvania primary on May 17. Encouraging Democrats to make voting a habit now will ensure more of them will also vote in November. Sign up now and we’ll mail you free postcards with the design below, along with instructions and voter lists. Volunteers need to provide the postcard stamps. You’ll pick from three messages that we’re testing as the first step of signing up. You’ll have until May 6 to finish writing the postcards. The Keystone State is key to expanding the Senate majority and holding the House so that President Biden is able to pass his full agenda. But it’s not going to happen without your help!  — Postcards to Swing States Team  https://www.turnoutpac.org/pennsylvania-senate-primary-postcards/?emci=d53708c2-b5aa-ec11-997e-281878b83d8a&emdi=9f188978-bcaa-ec11-997e-281878b83d8a&ceid=16299388
And if you want to do more, throw a party! (see next note)
Party People Save Democracy!
Washington County needs people concerned about democracy to step up and party.
Omni is encouraging members and friends to work with the Democratic Party to hold fun and enjoyable house parties that will introduce local candidates to their constituents, connect you to what’s happening in Washington County and help to get out the vote for the primary election now, and the general election in November.
You invite your friends, your local candidate shows up to meet everybody, you all have a great time, and everybody shows up to vote on May 24! It’ll be such a win-win.
If you like giving parties email omni@omnicenter.org to volunteer for informative and fun access to your political process. We’re all worried about this. Your party friends will love you for it. Please email now! omni@omnicenter.org.
