QUORUM COURT AGAIN. Oh No!

From Justice of the Peace Beth Coger

Our Quorum Court is becoming a local battle ground and the intersection of property rights, election integrity and having final say on what books are banned! The Quorum court makes decisions on zoning for families, the security of the ballot box and election commission operations and will make final decisions about books referred from local school boards! Who you vote for matters whether it is a JP seat or House seat!  Our Democratic candidates that moved the needle last time, are continuing their races and running again. Our 2023-24 field plan has a firm foundation of experience, knowledge, and a broad based team support each other up and down the ballot!.

We have to stop the power grab on the Quorum Court. We need a court that is balanced and fair. A court that listens to constituents. Time and time again, farm families property looses against the property rights of new owners whether it is for storage units, red dirt mines in residential/agricultural neighborhoods or closing rural schools so charter schools can take over or moving the Election Commission to the Road Department exponentially increasing a logistical nightmare of maintaining ballot security. Is this more of the far right to push their agendas through school board, Quorum Court and legislature?
