Every Monday for 6 weeks, Arkansas will join the Moral Monday’s Campaign that started in North Carolina with Rev William Barber. It has been almost the sole beacon of light as conservative interests tried to shut down social services and re-segregate public schools. Every Monday for over a year, larger and larger groups of North Carolinian’s gathered at the state capital to demand that their legislators listen to them. The movement was instrumental in protecting much social infrastructure and stopping seriously bad bills from hurting people.

Here is a Mother Jones story about Rev. Barber and the new version of his movement, “Repairers of the Breach.”
