Former Black Panther Charlotte O’Neal, and her husband Pete, fled the United States in 1971 after their friends were murdered by the CIA and other law enforcement. Pete can never return, but “Mama” Charlotte O’Neal is a fascinating speaker who makes trips to the US. Fayetteville is very lucky to have this chance to meet Mama Chrlotte, and hear some of the stories of her and Pete’s lives in Tanzania.
