Community Remembrance Project Unveils Lynching Marker

May 15 10:00 am Oaks CemeteryDedication and awards 12:30 at Fay Public Library The Washington County Community Remembrance Project will install a memorial marker in the historic Oaks cemetery to venerate the lives of three victims, Aaron, Anthony, and Randall, of racial terror lynching in Washington county in 1856. The marker unveiling will be at Oaks Cemetery on Saturday, May 15th, at 10am followed by a Dedication and Awards Ceremony from 12:30 PM- 4:00 PM at the Fayetteville Public Library.
