Stories Beyond Borders

Sat Nov 16 – 6:30-8:30 pm – St. Paul’s Episcopal Church 224 East Ave, Fayetteville Sponsored by Arkansas United and Working Films. This is a special educational session of short films by Working Films. It features immigrant stories of what really happens on the borders of our country. All donations go to support Arkansas United, a Springdale-based support center for area immigrants doing amazing work statewide.


4th Arkansas Environmental Policy Summit

Fri Nov. 8 – 8:30 am – North Little Rock The 4th Annual Arkansas Environmental Policy Summit will meet at Pulaski Tech at 3000 West Scenic Drive in North Little Rock on Nov. 8th from 8:30 AM to 2:45 PM. The Environmental Summit will provide attendees with the opportunity to hear from leading experts on the current state of environmental issues. Don’t Separate Families Protest

This Friday and every Friday rest of this year Fri Oct 25 – noon-1:00 – College and Dickson Streets Lots of people in Fayetteville see this is wrong. Quakers of Fayetteville are crazy enough to think you’re one of them. Come join them, rain or shine, every Friday until Christmas. The terrible situation on our border is getting more horrific. Fayetteville Quaker Meeting invites other concerned people to join them in reminding our community that this is not what our values can tollerate. Please wear white to the protest.

The documentary centers on 62-year-old veteran of Japan’s Second World Warcampaign in New Guinea, Kenzo Okuzaki, and follows him around as he searches out those responsible for the unexplained deaths of two soldiers in his old unit.
