Open Mic for Peace starts its next season! Sun Sept 2 – 7:00 pm at OMNI As we have for many years, Labor Day weekend is the kickoff for an exciting season of Open Mic. It’s been a long summer with not nearly enough music happening in this hall. Come join your friends to the resonate melodies of peace, justice,the earth and LABOR SONGS! You’ll leave filled with the warm tingle of a soul filled to overflowing. Bring your instrument and share a song, or just come mellow out to your neighbor’s tunes. It’ll be lovely. Don’t miss ie!

We are up against another important deadline concerning the Hog CAFO on the Buffalo watershed and there’s something you can do about it. Perhaps you have heard the Buffalo River below Big Creek has been designated as impaired. Sadly, there appears to be some trickery in the details. It was deemed to be a category 4b, and not a category 5. The State would be obligated to address a category 5 designation, while a 4b requires no action to reverse the identified problems. Community Town Hall on Homelessness and Housing Monday August 13, 6:00 pm Genesis Church, 205 M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Fayetteville, AR 72701 To solve homelessness, we need housing. We will host a gathering to discuss as a community what we can do to increase landlord engagement and find other creative ways to house people. Until those units are available there are also practical needs that our neighbors that are camping need help with. We will be hosting a resource fair August 13-17 from 9-1 and will need volunteers to assist clients visiting each table to discover what services they qualify for. […]
