Online (RSVP for link) We’re kicking off our 2021 solar campaign here in Arkansas, and we want you with us! Help us to ensure we protect the Solar Access Act from efforts to rollback and repeal it this session.
Join us on Thursday, February 4th at 6:00 p.m. CT for a virtual community meeting to learn more about our campaign, discuss our plans, and take action together.
In 2019, Audubon supporters like you helped ensure that the Solar Access Act (Act 464), was passed by the state legislature and signed into law by Governor Asa Hutchinson. This bill catalyzed dramatic growth in our state for one of the nation’s fastest growing industries. Yet, utility companies have been pushing to undermine the rights of consumers to generate their own power and sell it back to the grid at market rate. We cannot let utility monopolies stifle innovation and get in the way of our economic growth.
With your help, we can make sure that Arkansas continues to grow our clean energy economy, a common-sense way to create jobs while protecting our communities, habitats, and birds.
