We’re coming together again to build community power in Northwest Arkansas. Join us for the WARkansas People’s Assembly on Thursday, September 4th.
This assembly is a next in mobilizing against Arkansas becoming a war dependent economy, following our successful disruption of the Mid-America Aerospace and Defense Summit. Where we made it clear, the people of Arkansas do not welcome corporations that profit from war and genocide. Now, it’s time to turn that energy into long-term organizing.
What to expect:
Learn about Arkansas’s growing investments in the defense industry and its war-dependent economy
Connect with others in the Friends of Palestine NWA community
Break into small groups to brainstorm tactics, solutions, and organizing strategies
Circle for kids so families can fully participate while children learn and engage in age-appropriate ways
Find opportunities to get involved and grow the movement
This is a space to learn, plan, and organize together — and to continue building resistance against the systems that prioritize weapons and war over people and justice.
