March 1-4 – Virtuallink below
Good morning!
The Spring Arts and Culture Festival — taking place next week March 1-4– offers opportunities to explore many classroom topics beyond the classroom. This year, the festival will take place primarily on Zoom, so people can attend without having to worry about social distancing. Please consider bringing your classes to the many events and learning opportunities. These events offer natural opportunities for post-event discussions in class, short reflection papers, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media assignments, online discussion boards, podcasting, and other pedagogical techniques.
This year’s theme is Reimagining the World, and is headlined by Native American author Tommy Orange, who wrote the award-winning novel There There. Events also include yoga and meditation sessions, spoken word poetry, a cooking demonstration from Brightwater, discussions of video games and immigration, examinations of antisemitism, and much more.
To see the full schedule, go to schedule here. All events are free and open to the public. I look forward to seeing you “virtually” at many of these great events. Have a wonderful day.
