Friends of Palestine Benefit Concert

Sunday – Nov 3 – 4:30 pm – Arsega’s in the Mill District Benefit Concert on Sunday, November 3rd from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. featuring performances by local artists Rain Rues, Jude Brothers, and Avery Lee at Arsaga’s Mill District. Suggested donations of $10 to $20 are encouraged, to support winterizing a refugee camp in Gaza. Bring your friends. Thursday Nov. 7 – 6:30 pm – Omni Center Things are getting exciting for Homeless Solutions folks. SEVERAL of us attended the Housing Crisis Task Force in October and heard from presenters and Task Force members how very hard it is to build low-income housing in our town. The presenter was Brandon Scalion, of Countdown Properties LLC. Brandon successfully built a development of low-income apartments in Clarksville with warm help from city officials, staff and other partners. Autumn Vegan Potluck

Sunday Oct 27 – 6:30 pm – Omni Center First vegan potluck of this fall season. Not just for vegans though. Anyone who’d like to know more about a plant-based diet is welcome to attend. It’s a MAJOR way we can combat climate change and environmental degradation in the face of big odds. Bring any simple dish to share that avoids meat and dairy.
