We are up against another important deadline concerning the Hog CAFO on the Buffalo watershed and there’s something you can do about it. Perhaps you have heard the Buffalo River below Big Creek has been designated as impaired. Sadly, there appears to be some trickery in the details. It was deemed to be a category 4b, and not a category 5. The State would be obligated to address a category 5 designation, while a 4b requires no action to reverse the identified problems. We will host a gathering to discuss as a community what we can do to increase landlord engagement and find other creative ways to house people. Until those units are available there are also practical needs that our neighbors that are camping need help with.
