Happy [belated] Earth Day! Though official Earth Day has passed we’re celebrating (as many others are) this weekend, as it’s an easier time for most to attend and also our regular vegan potluck night (4th Sunday).

Please join us for our Earth Day celebration! Featuring a delicious and earth friendly vegan potluck. Juggling and skill toys are likely to break out, plus good vibes and connections with like minded folks.
If you have any inspiring or entertaining earth friendly songs, poems, short stories, or quotes, etc. to share with us, that would be great. Please do!
Vegan is earth friendly because animal agriculture has such a huge impact on our planet. It greatly increases greenhouse gas emissions causing climate change, air & water pollution, deforestation, loss of wildlife and their habitats.
It’s vital that we make sustainable, responsible plant food choices to reduce our impact and preserve our planet and resources for all to survive and thrive on our precious planet Earth.
We can also greatly lessen our risk of many serious health problems (e.g. heart disease, diabetes, cancer), help conserve vast resources of land, water and energy to feed people and reduce needless animal suffering by eating plant based/exclusive.
To those who are already on board, we salute you! To those who are on the verge (or exploring) and want to be veg/vegan, Whole Food Plant Based, raw vegan, etc. we welcome and encourage you to join us. Whether your motivation is for ecology, animals, health, or other. It’s all good! Many of us are initially inspired by one reason or another at first, then find others just as (or more) compelling later.
Bring a vegan dish enough for 8 servings (www.vegweb.com has recipes) and copies of your recipe, if you want to share. Please check to ensure all ingredients are vegan. A list, or recipe can be helpful, if someone has a food allergy. Simple/easy and store bought dishes are welcome, as are desserts and non-alcoholic drinks.
Please bring a small (or large ; ) cash donation to Omni Center, for our use of their meeting room and kitchen. Feel free to share/invite family, friends, associates and all earth/animal friendly, health minded kind folks. You can forward this email and/or share event links for Meetup and Facebook.
