What does the president’s budget do to housing and homelessness funding?

Keeps funding short-term assistance for workers / throws permanent supportive housing, elderly, disabled and families under the bus. The President’s Budget would not only end assistance for hundreds of thousands of people, placing them at risk of losing their housing, but it would also decimate the resources currently available to states and local governments to address homelessness. Global electricity – 40% generated without fossil fuels in 2024!

More than 40 percent of the world’s electricity was generated without burning fossil fuels in 2024. All other things being equal, this would have resulted in a drop in emissions. However global electricity demand has continued to rise, significantly because hotter temperatures are leading to a greater demand for electricity for cooling. Some predict that emissions could start to fall next year as renewable generation of electricity continues to grow. A contribution from the Reevaluation Counseling Community
