Shelter for homeless folks in Fayetteville

A cool local company – Natural State Treehouse Builders – is partnering with Gateway Project and hopefully lots of others on an amazing idea. The community houses its homeless neighbors!

OMNI Pod Cottages materials needs What we’re up to and how you can help:
Natural State Treehouses and OMNI/Gateway Project are partnering to build a prototype of an 8’x12′ small one person house. Our hope is that this prototype will demonstrate how affordable a comfortable, well-built but small home can be. We believe that the simplicity, durability and low cost of this model will open up new options for providing shelter for the unhoused population in our communities. At this point, we are only asking for materials needed to build one unit, but we will be seeking further donations of materials in the future.

We will also be putting out a second call for volunteers to help with construction when that time arrives. Take a look at the list below. If you have materials to donate that you think are a match, email Josh Hart at josh@naturalstatetreehouses and let him know: 1. Your name and address where the materials are currently located. 2. As much detail about the materials as possible (types, sizes and quantities). Include pictures if you can. 3. Forward on this list to other people you know in Northwest Arkansas who might also want to help. 4. If you don’t have any materials to donate but would like to make a monetary donation to this project, please contact Gladys Tiffany at (479) 283-2167 or gladystiffany@gmail.com. Email is preferable, but if email won’t work you can call or text Josh at (479) 387-0701. Josh will email or call you to schedule a time for our team to pick up your materials.
