Volunteer Need with Arkansas United this week

Mireya Reith, Arkansas United

Dear all:

The anti-immigrant bills are now coming fast and furious. And unfortunately, this year, we have NO dedicated advocacy staff. Funding has been tough in the immigrant rights space and continues to be so.

I’d like to very respectfully inquire, would any of you have availability or interest in helping us out for a couple weeks? The task would be to investigate bills that have been filed and stay on top of new ones being filed? And when we confirm one, working with the AU to create our communication materials?

So essentially this is work that could be done from home. It would just require access to the web and computer. This way I can stay focused on communication with allies and politicians around each bill AND our AU team can stay laser focused on organizing our base of directly impacted.

Thank you in advance for your consideration. We are looking for some interns too. Once the legislators hit spring break, they”ll have the full slate of bills filed so they can wrap up between April and May, as set in law. You’re job would be finished and I would be prepared for lobbying. My contact is below.

Thank you for being you and your allyship!

Mireya
