SB 354 to spend $750 billion to build a monster new prison, was supposed to come up for vote on Tuesday but got enough attention that they put it off until next Thursday hoping people will forget about it.
Medicaid could be supported instead. Schools, hospitals, mental health centers… lots of things that would really help people… could be built with $750 million dollars instead of this monstrosity of profit-seeking.
Now the bill is set to run Thursday March 13. Call, texts and emails to your state Senators and Representatives are MEANINGFUL!
