Not only did more than a dozen pilgrims walk from Bentonville to Fayetteville to raise awareness about chronic homelessness, they were also joined by many more for the Last Mile and a Community Meal at New Beginnings. Ziva Branstetter & Kathleen DuVal Pulitzer Prize Winners

Ziva Branstetter, daughter of local celebrity and Omni member Art Hobson, is a journalist for ProPublica and did a great report on the impacts of the death of Roe v. Wade, that won her a Pulitzer Prize recently. Along with history author Kathleen DuVal, who did an amazing book on native Americans over a thousand years. They’ll be home visiting soon and Their departments are throwing them a well-deserved party. Come say ‘hi’!


Help for immigrants attacked by ICE in our own area

There’s a group working out of Rogers to help immigrant families who’ve been targeted by ICE, one person and one family at a time. If you’d like to help them, there is a way. Nicole Mozzoni is collecting for several families, with more to come. Her phone is 479-644-0710, if you can help. Right now a big need is for a family who’s father was picked up and deported from his workplace, leaving his family behind. The stress on his wife made her have a stroke.
