EMERGENCY MEETING — DACA and TPS

America needs to play fair. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is rapidly gearing up to deport millions of people. He has announced that immigration programs DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) — and TPS (Temporary Protected Status) will be suspended, and all those who have worked, gone to school, lived their lives, and been good citizens through this exemplary program, are now at risk of deportation.
Immigrants are the first in a line of people and groups targeted by the Trump administration. Is America the land of “fair” or not? These young people came here as children, and have worked hard to be good citizens. To drastically change the rules in mid-stream like this is NOT FAIR. Furthermore, these good, honest people are only the beginning. If they aren’t protected, who’ll be next? And how long will it be until your turn comes? The time to push back is now.
