The free, public reception to honor Fayetteville sculptor Hank Kaminsky, the 2018 Arkansas Living Treasure. Seats are limited; reservations are required. Parade for Peace ! Sunday March 18 – 2;00 – Walton Arts Center Starts corner of Dickson and West Streets – Rally at Town Center On March 18th from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., the Arkansas Poor People’s Campaign, the OMNI Center, and Arkansas Nonviolence Alliance are holding a Parade for Peace. The parade starts at the corner of Dickson & West Streets, in front of the Walton Arts Center, and ends with a rally at the Town Center. Thurs Nov 9 – 5:30 – Fay Public Library League of Women Voters Gun Violence Out of frustration following the passage of a ludicrous law forcing our institutions of higher education all across Arkansas to allow concealed carry weapons on their campuses, the League of Women Voters decided that it was time for ACTION. Current events demand it as we mourn again the needless deaths from gun violence.
